I still think ur under estimating the role lebanon played for all free syrians, since the days of Khaled al-Azm… until now… it’s always been syrians’ refuge from totalitarianism.

they’re talking in the sense of, a free damascus is a NEED for a free beirut. put urself in their shoes..

It’s not a far distant country that has absolutly no effect on them.. it’d be STUPID to ignore everything beyond ur borders.

They do not have to interfere directly in syrian internal affairs. I think we all know how powerful media is these days, and this is something the syrian regime, as it seems, still has not understood.

Your opinion on Najad or Bush does not really matter, because you only have your mouth and your blog to voice it out. Not very effective.

As for syrians speaking up in lebanon… I think it was always much safer to speak up anywhere except Syria and Lebanon. So don;t be too grateful for them. They had no choice anyways.

Kasir may have only been a writer, but Tweini was a member of the lebanese government, and I think it is now obvious that all these crappy March forces are mouth pieces for the US, it is rediculous.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not defending the syrian regime. All I am saying is that, for the lebanese, when it comes to syrian affairs, shut up!

Because, let’s face it.. the only way to have a real stable free Lebanon is to have a real stable free Syria. that’s a fact and they know it very well…

Plus, the only place where syrians CAN speak up was always Lebanon, I’m actually grateful for them speaking up..

Plus, for the second time.. the most important thing is that THESE are opinions, they’re not really meddeling with syrian internal affairs [at least the writers and intellectuals] Junblat is a different case, junblat is a livin example of the warlords “class” that the Syrian regime itself funded and supported all through the war and post war lebanon.
I have the right to say that Najadi is not Iran’s best option… and I have the right to voice that opinion. but i dont have the right to forceit upon the Iranians.

I said lebanese should keep their opinions about who should run Syria to themselves, just as they want the Syrians to keep their opinions to themselves about who should run Lebanon. If not, they would be hypocrites.

Syrians should speak up, including writers, poets, politicians, and grabage men.

at least these people are writers, they just write, they dont ,kill, jail torture and bomb people.
