Dear G.
It will be hard to explain, that's the problem with these conflicts, no side will ever "understand" the other side's perspectie, hope or frustration.
I am calling for moderation, moderate people are the ones who lose everywhere, u can see all the hate comments on this blog.
I agree, "word is mightier than sword"...
If u are willing to understand, if U DO REALLY want to, I suggest u go see lebanese blogs, see the pictures, see what the IDF is doing. these people are not Hizbulla people, these people used to write eeryday against Nasrallah, I DID. u can check my archives. but u see, again, this is not Hizbulla, these Massacres.
when a bus carrying 23 kids and women, who fleeing their village because Israel told them to flee, gets bombed and they burn alive, that's not hizbulla, that's... i donno what to call it...
Personally, I think Human lives are more important than any cause. I see ur precious Olmert just as a criminal as Nasrallah. this is war, extremism wins. and moderation loses. that's what always happens.

I cant defend bombing civilians, maybe in core Nasrallah and Olmert are not that different, except that Olmert has the means to be 10 times deadlier than Nasrallah, which shows from each side's body count.

Nasrallah killed about 20 civilians up till now.
Olmert about 200.
ironic, how true it is.

cheers,

Jimmy,
thank you, albi ma3kun.

Dear Yazan,
First on a personal level, good luck with your finals, or should I say BITAWUFIK WaNNAJAKH

As to your comments, Hezbollah is not only a guerrilla force, it is as I have mentioned, a political force as well and it has been using Lebanon as its ground for activity, it has all sort of plants all over the land, training camps, depots of ammunition, offices for its ongoing daily activity and so on. You cannot claim that those infrastructures were unknown or hidden, can you? More then that, Lebanon and the Lebanese gave that organization (Unwillingly many times) every physical support under the Syrian pressure.
The attack and the kidnapping last week were acts of war, since then more then a 1000 missiles were launched at our cities from Lebanese territory. From our stand of view there is no other way to call it, but war. And war I'm afraid, claims victims, many times innocent ones.
Like many other Israelis I have served in the army, like less Israelis I still have some reserve service from time to time. I can tell you from my own experience, I was never been ordered or trained to hurt civilians, babies, kids women or men and I am sure that no other Israeli was, but that doesn't mean we won't fight for our own defense.
I do not see you, nor do I see Lebanon as enemies and I really wish for this circle of violence to end, but I cannot and I believe Israel cannot agree to have an organization such as Hezbollah lurking on our borders.

Be at well and keep writing, "The pen is mightier than the sword!"
Yours truly,
G.
