I feel empty.
I feel absolutely hollow and empty.

What is this country, and what are these people.

توفيت رشا ( 14 ) عاماً في منطقة الشيخ مقصود بحلب , إثر تعرضها لعملية تعذيب على يد أبيها , أدت إلى نزوف متعددة في كل أنحاء جسمها , ثم إلى وفاتها .

وكان الأب قد قيد ابنته من قدميها , ثم علقها في ” أرض الديار” , وبدأ بضربها بكبل معدني على كل أنحاء جسمها , لمدة تزيد على الساعة , وعندما اشتد نزيف الفتاة , قام بإنزالها وإسعافها إلى المستشفى لتفارق الحياة فور وصولها إليه .

وقبل أن تصل رشا إلى قبرها , كان والدها قد وصل إلى السجن , فقد سلم نفسه لقسم الشرطة مباشرة بعد وفاتها , مدعياً أنه قتلها ” بدافع الشرف” .

وحول العقوبة المترتبة على هذا الجرم , قال المحامي السيد ” إذا أثبت الأب أن هناك علاقة مشبوهة بين الأخ وأخته , فإن الجناية تتحول إلى جنحة , عقوبتها من سنة إلى ثلاث سنوات , أما إذا لم يستطع إثبات ذلك , فالجريمة توصف ب ( إيذاء مفضي إلى الموت ) عقوبته بالحد الأقصى خمس سنوات , تخفف إلى سنتين ونصف

    The real question is what the socialist, freedom lovers, revolutionary people who took power 50 years ago have done so far. Exactly nothing, they inherited some laws and regulations, they could not changed or improve it, they could not even manage these law and now they claim that us or chaos. Hold it, the chaos is already there. Pay the country a visit and you will see it in your eyes. I think social agenda was not and never will be of interest to them, they are leaving those travails issues for sometime after they liberate the conquered lands.

    وكانت المفاجأة التي لم يتوقعها الأب ,عندما كشف الطبيب الشرعي على الفتاة بعد وفاتها , حيث أشار إلى خلو جسدها من أي أثر لاعتداء جنسي .

    While the father committed a heinous crime, the state is actually responsible for the girl’s murder. Every time the state rewards a “defender of honor” for killing his sister, daughter or wife with a ridiculously light prison sentence, it effectively tells him his crime was justified. Hell, this guy’s prison sentence looks like it will be shorter than the time he served in the army!

    With such high prevalence of honor crimes in our society, not only should the state impose very strong punishment on the perpetrators, it should launch educational campaigns among the general population, questioning society’s existing values on honor and other issues.

    it’s just unfair to leave such criminals get away with their murders
