With Sake, nothing tastes better than Olives. But you would have to be a Levantine living in Japan to know that

Posh,
Yes, in fact my parents left me a thriving camel breeding business, at least until Wassim came along with that curse! ;)

I should be in Beirut by August 10th. Any idea when you're gonna be there?

Yazan, I second what you said that there no reason to be cheer and be hopeful. However, I disagree with your “shred of hope” assertion. Hope is for things moving forward to a better place/condition. This is not the case here. The Lebos decided to stop killing one another...this is not a better place, this is the normal place...besides, this isn’t the first time, or the last for that matter. The same people are still there, so nothing has really changed. They are taking a break and preparing for the next round.

Syria-Israel, give me a break, who says Olmart can make a peace deal? He is about to get kicked out of the office for corruption charges. I seriously doubt he has the ability of achieving what would be one of the most important milestones in the history of the middle east. Soon he will leave and someone else will come and few more years of killings in the middle east before the new comer will start thinking about peace..right before he/she is about to leave the office and so on.

How long are you staying back home? I'll be visiting sometime in September.

Omniah: Why does your father speak in fos7a? ;p

politics is a game, a dirty one.

regarding the the Syr- israeli talks, my father says that
